Best Restaurant in Iceland: Fridheimar Tomato Greenhouse
I am not kidding you when I say this is some of the best food I've ever eaten. Nestled in the middle of the Golden Circle in Southern Iceland, this (yes somewhat) tourist destination, and landmark of sorts houses the best tomato-themed food and service in Iceland. These tomatoes, freshly grown year round in this incredible greenhouse, make some of the best drinks, food, and even dessert.
The best part about Fridheimer Greenhouse? THE BREAD. This restaurant offers unlimited freshly baked bread that was to die for. With the bread includes the most incredible, mildly sweet cucumber relish and homemade butter.
And like many other restaurants in Iceland, this place offers unlimited coffee and tea assortments while eating here.
And yes, of course, even the water has a few sweet additions.
And while you're waiting for your food, why not take a tour of the facility and learn about the 350,000+ tomatoes/year that are grown here.
And why not pick and cut your own herbs for the best, unlimited tomato soup EVER? Each table offers herb scissors to make these additions the freshest possible.
Cheers to all of your lovely Icelandic adventures!
